Celestial Tarot Wedding Style Shoot at Quail Haven Farm, Vista CA

Celestial Tarot Wedding Style Shoot Quail Haven Farm Vista 2018-148.jpg

This Celestial Tarot inspired shoot was all about the balance of light and dark. Just as in life or in love, nothing is all light or all dark. We wanted to show the magic of falling in love, the spell and wild feeling that love can cause within us all. I was absolutely inspired by the Tarot deck "The Wild Unknown" by Kim Krans.

Her deck says "Welcome to the Wild Unknown Tarot. You'll find no wrongs or rights in this deck, only mirrors of reflection. And that's what I really wanted to show in this shoot, the light and dark of a true and magical love.

We kept the celestial magic theme in all the place settings with Tarot cards, and moon place cards. Our dark  plates balanced with our light candles. The Tarot cards all calling back to love and their future together being fated in the stars. Our seating charts, signage and invitation suite all call back to this theme. The dark with light always coming through.

All the calligraphy items were hand made by Loren from Four Things Paper, and call back to the celestial theme of the shoot.

Our flowers, with themes of the celestial in the deep reds, purples and blues, but again touches of lightness to keep things balanced. I particularly love the halo hoops above our table scape. If you practice magic or know anything about magic, a magic circle is a circle of space marked out by practitioners of many branches of ritual magic. Those who practice magic generally believe these circles will contain energy and form a sacred space, or will provide them a form of magical protection. Perfect for the bringing of two lives together as one.

We spread the theme of magic, and the contrast of dark and light through out the shoot.  Our cake was dark and moody, like a stormy starry night but with touches of light. In the dark navy dripps where celestial sprinkles, calling back to the stars at the heart of our theme.

And finally just a huge thank you to the team who pulled this together! It was an honor and a pleasure!

Festival Style at Stroll in Little Italy

There were some seriously good vibes at the Stroll a few weeks ago when Katie (the owner) hosted a Pre-Coachella Sale. From the stunning festival attire, Crazy beautiful flower crowns by La Belle Bloom , Awesome polish changes by Girl on the Go! Night Spa , not to mention champs and tasty treats! It was out of control, amazing! Check out some of the fun images of the night below.

Did I mention the seriously tasty snacks? I am now obsessed with Rock Candy as decor on cupcakes and cakes <3! Plus I can't pass up a tasty cheese board with fig ever.  And there was pink Champange! Ahhh! too much goodness.

The incredibly talented Claudia Cruz of La Belle Bloom was making stunning Flower crowns. I mean the pictures below barely do them justice. If you follow me on instragam then you saw one of the stunning flower crowns I purchased.  I bought a few and depleted her stock but she hoped right up and started making more with some of the beautiful blooms she brought with her. I can't wait till the next time I need flowers, or a flower crown because I will be heading straight to this Little Italy gem.I am so excited I get to work with these inspirational San Diego Lady Bosses, and hopefully we have another event together soon. :)
