Santa Barbara Wedding at Belmond El Encanto

A and M's Belmond El Encanto Santa Barbara Wedding Great Woodland Photography -30.jpg

This weekend I had the pleasure and honor of photographing Aly and Max’s gorgeous Santa Barbara wedding. Their wedding was at the Belmond El Encanto, a Craftsman and Spanish style venue, and this stunner was the perfect back drop for their Christmas inspired wedding. It was a breezy beautiful day but mostly clear this Saturday, and Aly made a stunning bride. Max looked so amazing in his tails, and I loved when all the bridesmaids brought out a top hat (as a little joke) to finish off his formal look.

The details of this gorgeous couples day, are innumerable, and that’s probably why I had such a hard time narrowing down pictures for a sneak peak. Every corner, ever nook of this venue was stunning. And on top of that the bride added such personal and lovely details. I especially loved their sunset ceremony, complete with candles, a koi pond, and soft chiffon curtains. It may have been cold outside but this couple kept it red hot!

Family and friends came to support this sweet couple, from over 28 different countries. I especially loved all the Norwegian traditions from the Groom and his family. From climbing on top of their chairs or under the table to kiss, when requested with clinking glasses or stomping feet, these traditions added a whole new dimension to the day! They even had Norwegian candy bars at each place setting for their guests, and honestly I’m a sucker for candy, no matter what country it’s from :)

I loved every minute of their day, and I know their future together will be as beautiful as their wedding day was! Congratulations you two and I hope you LOVE this sneak peak!

Hugs

Taryn

Tiffany and Erick's San Diego and CoronadoWedding

Tiffany and Erick's St Joseph's Cathedral Balboa Park Coronado Community Center Wedding-20.jpg

Erick and Tiffany are one of the sweetest couples I have ever had the honor of working with. Their day was full of emotion and tradition, and above all love. We traveled around this beautiful city taking pictures with this amazing couple and their bridal party, and everyone did it all with a smile.

It was a delight getting to photograph their traditional Catholic wedding, full of ceremony and family. I especially loved getting to see Tiffany and Erick’s faces when they first laid eyes on each other. Their joy was so great that it overflowed with smiles and tears, and that was reflected in everyone around them.

I appreciated that their priority during their day was their family and guests. Even with the large group they wanted to make sure they took the time to say hello to every person who came. Erick and Tiffany your wedding was such a gorgeous day and I am so excited about all your beautiful pictures. Enjoy your Honeymoon in Italy and Spain, and I can’t wait to get you the rest of these images when you get home!

Bianca and Robert's Chula Vista Wedding

Bianca and Robert's Wedding at St. Rose of Lima and Eastlake Country Club Chula Vista-26.jpg

This September has been deliciously cool, unlike the last few years, and this weekend was perfection. Bianca and Robert have been together for about nine years, so their families are already tight knit. It was so fun being able to be in their families home with them while they got ready, go to their families church, and then have their reception near their homes. It made it so meaningful.

I loved that all the details of the day were exactly them. Robert is in a band so music was very definitely at the forefront of design. From their favorite albums as table numbers, to Roberts guitar cufflinks, and his band playing at the reception. They made their day 100% about them and their love story.

Thank you both for sharing your love with me and with those who love you! You had such a beautiful day and I am so thrilled I got to be there for you.

Big Hugs,

Taryn
