Sarah and Matt's Point Loma Wedding at The Pearl

Sarah and Matt's Wedding at The Pearl San Diego -19.jpg

Yesterday was a gorgeous May day here in San Diego with intermittent sunshine and stunning colors. Sarah and Matt were overflowing with joy and that joy radiated through all their friends and family. The story of their love, starting with their adventures together on a sail boat in the Caribbean, to their travels together across the country is pure inspiration.

And the support and love, and fact that their families came from all over to support and witness their commitment is a testament to them as a couple. I think one of my favorite moments of the day, was seeing this couples huge smiles as Sarah came towards Matt, during the ceremony. It makes me so humble and grateful that I get to be present for these moments.

I also loved the way that their families pitched in and helped this sweet couple to make their day perfection, from all their details (the flowers, the signs, and stunning accessories). Touches and inspo from all the things that matter to them were considered when making all the items and making their vintage inspired wedding a real reflection of them. Not to mention the beautiful venue it's self, especially the sexy plush lounge. I could have spent hours getting all the details in this space, but really what we all kept coming back to was the foundation of this day, the couple.

Matt and Sarah,  you are so wonderful and I am so thrilled that I got to be with you on your big day. I hope you and your family love these sneak peaks and I can't wait to see where life takes you both!

Congratulations!

Taryn

Maribel and James's Downtown San Diego Elopement

Maribel and James's San Diego Court House Elopement 2018 (5 of 25).jpg

This past Thursday I had the honor of capturing images for James and Maribel. These two love birds have some amazing children (ranging from 19 all the way down to 3) and a lifetime of love, so it was amazing being able to share this day with their sweet family. Maribel's original wedding plans were for something more traditional, but when her eldest babe went into the Navy she knew she might need to do something different to make sure her whole family was there for their special day.

So to ensure James jr. made it to their big day, this sweet couple decided to move their wedding from Oklahoma, to San Diego, where James Jr. is currently stationed. Having a son in the military may have complicated this couples wedding day, but they wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Congratulations guys! I can't wait to share the rest of the images with you but hopefully you love these sneak peaks!

Hugs!

Taryn

The Big Fake Wedding San Diego at The New Children's Museum

TheBigFakeWeddingatTheNewChildren'sMuseumSanDiego2018-148.jpg

I am so thrilled to finally be sharing pictures from The Big Fake Wedding in San Diego, from early in January. The Big Fake Wedding is such fun event, we get to put on a real wedding for a real couple and show of the talents of some amazing San Diego Wedding Vendors. SOOO there is a lot to share so I'm going to apologize in advance for the crazy long post. I've broken it into 3 sections so hopefully that helps. Each section focuses on a different part of the day.

For Section 1 I focused on the details of the bride and her bridesmaids. The style inspiration was light airy and fun with a focus on shape form. Because of the space we really focus on architecture and industrial design, but the bride and groom were so light and fun that The New Children's museum was a perfect fit!

I hope you love all these pictures, and the amazing fun we had with this real life couple!
