Andrew and Brittany’s Temecula Engagement Session
I spent my Thursday with this amazing couple and I had to pinch myself, the further we got into the session. Andrew and Brittany were making magic and the locations they picked were stunning. We started at this newish venue in Temecula called the The Oaks at Duncan lane, and the light through the trees on this property is out of this world. And then we made our way into wine country and got lucky to hit it right as golden hour hit it’s peak and the light at Fazeli’s was blowing us all away.
Sam and Justin’s Marina Village Wedding, San Diego
Sam and Justin’s wedding yesterday was so so lovely! I loved that these two had such a diverse group of friends come together with their families, all there to celebrate these two. And that their passions (outside of just each other) were front and center. The things that they love and the people that they love. Sam looked stunning in a form fitting lace gown and the pop of blue in the boys bow ties and the bridesmaids dresses perfectly complemented the ocean. Every single person in their bridal party was there to support and love on these two and it made for a love filled day all around.
Lauren and Steve’s Wedding at Spencer’s, Palm Springs
Lauren and Steven’s wedding yesterday was so so beautiful. We had perfect fall Palm Springs weather, and though this was round 2 for these two (they we’re married on the east coast with just close family and friends, thanks Covid!) it felt like the first time. They got ready at one of my favorite spots in all of Palm Springs, The Rowan. The hotel’s mix of Midcentury Modern and clean modern design was exactly the vibe that was carried out through the rest of the day. I also loved that these two were down to explore palm springs and get some photos with their whole crew in the streets of PS. Steve even performed some of his bits for everyone to keep us all entertained as we worked our way through group photos. :)
Laura and Shannon’s Point Loma Wedding, Tom Ham’s Lighthouse
Yesterdays wedding was a stunner! The rains in the previous days had cleared the haze, and cooled down our usual hot October weather, and the whole day it was a pleasant 72 degrees. Laura and Shannon rented the coolest house that was the perfect backdrop for getting ready, and the whole family traveled together to Cabrillo National Monument to take some super fun portraits. I loved how the whole day was focused around their family. The kids were front and center for every moment! And their love tied the perfect bow on top on their blended family.
Hayden and Pualani’s Oceanside Elopement
Yesterday’s little beach elopement here in Oceanside was short and sweet. Sweethearts Hayden and Pualani, and their families came together on the beach to celebrate their love. While the sun shined bright these two promised their lives to one another. Lots of happy tears and smiles, and sweet family moments. I always feel so blessed to see such beautiful moments in people’s lives, and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for these two.
Colin and Ashlie’s Surprise Proposal at Invictus Gym
Today surprise proposal was so unique! Colin reached out about his idea and I had to double check that I read correctly, he wanted to propose to his girlfriend at the gym. But it 100% made sense after we talked. It’s her second home, her community and one of the most important parts of her life.
Zach and Kris’ Cabrillo National Monument Elopement
Yesterday’s Elopement at Cabrillo National monument is one for the books! Zach and Kris, along with both of their immediate family and close friends, meet on the stunning cliffs that feel like the edge of the world. This beautiful couple came together and their joy radiated out of them and was reflected right back at them by every smiling face there. The feeling of joy and celebration was so contagious, even park visitors walking by couldn’t help but smile!
Monique and Daniel’s Balboa Park Elopement
Yesterday’s Elopement in Balboa Park, with Monique and Daniel was intimate and sweet. It was all about their little family and who doesn’t love that?! We met at the Botanical building right near the lily pond, went inside and picked the perfect spot and started their beautiful ceremony. They exchanged vows with each other and the children, and exchanged gifts. Rings for each other, and jewelry for the kids, to remind them all of their commitment to each other as a family.
Kevin and Camille’s surprise proposal, Carlsbad CA
Kevin’s proposal yesterday to Camille was so sweet and exciting! Their family and friends gathered to celebrate the summer, and the fact that these two got jobs set up for post graduation. And the cherry on top of the celebration was Kevin’s surprise proposal. Kevin and I conspired to make it a complete surprise, and with the help of his mom Jan we snuck me into the house (mostly undetected). I hid on a balcony up above everyone at the party and waited for the big moment to arrive, and it did not disappoint. Camille was so shocked she let out the biggest shout (it may have included some cuss words) and then went straight in for a kiss. 100% a yes!
Angela and Pete’s Gliderport Engagement Session, La Jolla
This sweet couple have perfected the art of the snuggle. They did such an amazing job yesterday afternoon, I had the best time getting to hang out with them! The afternoon was glorious and the breeze was pumping. Which was perfect for all the gliders soaring by! We spent our short amount of time together checking out the waves, the tiny naked people down at Blacks beach and giggling at each others jokes.
Samantha and Justin’s Balboa Park Engagement Session, San Diego
Yesterdays engagement session at Balboa park with Sam and Justin was so fun! Sam and I used to work together forever ago, and it was a little reunion! It was so amazing to see how far she has come and how wonderful her chosen partner is. Justin and Sam are a sweet couple, a perfect compliment to one another. While Sam was a bit nervous about getting these pictures done, Justin did an amazing job of being the calm and guiding force of the session. And the pictures came out so well! I am so excited to be your photographer and I can’t wait for you to see the rest of these photos. :)
Lisa and Jeremy’s Hilltop Winery Wedding, Valley Center
Lisa and Jeremy’s wedding yesterday at Hilltop Winery was small and lovely, but full of so many good things and moments! The bride and groom showed up and were not messing around, they both looked stunning! All of the details of this wedding were purposeful and thoughtful, and focused on bringing these two separate people/families into one. I loved the Maid of Honor and Best Woman and how much they loved and showered their love on this sweet couple. It may have been a hot one, but not just the weather was bringing the heat. The bride, Lisa, looked beyond beautiful in her sexy wedding dress and the love shinned through in everything these two did yesterday. I feel so lucky to have been there on their special day and I can’t wait to share the rest soon. Congratulations you too! I know the future holds nothing but good things for you two! :)
Jacob and Ally’s Grand Targhee Wedding, Alta Wyoming
Yesterday’s Monday wedding was so fun! The weather up in the Teton’s was gorgeous, the bride and groom were full of smiles. Ally’s and Jacob’s sweet families were there for every step of the day and their bridal party was down to have fun. Plus I love a bride who wears converse on their wedding day! :) My favorite part of shooting at Grand Targhee is the ride up and down on the chair lift. Not only is it stunning but it gives the bride and groom some alone time during their wedding day that they normally wouldn’t have. And that alone time on a busy wedding day is precious.
Emily and Michael’s Fallbrook Wedding at Circle Oak Ranch
Emily and Michael’s Rustic wedding at Circle Oak Ranch was a perfect June wedding! The weather was warm but not enough to get us all sweaty, breezy, sunny and bright and full of sweet family moments. The bridal party was so fun and honestly just ready to support these two and have a good time! Surrounded by the love of their family and friends, these two said I do underneath a grand old oak tree, and the ceremony was full of laughter and happy tears. There was time for little moments with parents where they got to hug and appreciate the journey that got these two to this day, and big moments with all the guests cheering and participating in the fun.
Jeff and Lara’s Japanese Friendship Garden Wedding, San Diego
Jeff and Lara’s wedding yesterday was so beautiful! Because of covid, these two actually got married in a small ceremony last year and rescheduled the bigger wedding day, but we made it! I started the day in Solana Beach with Lara as she got ready and got all her beautiful details. After that we headed to the church in Del Mar, St. Therese of Carmel, were we did their sweet first look. Jeff and Lara’s nieces were the flower girls and stole the show for a minute with their sweet little dresses and smiles.
Kendall and Melanie’s Oceanside Elopement
On Sunday, I traveled to Kendall’s family home in Oceanside for their quick and sweet little backyard elopement. This small little event was just their close family, and with 8 people it had all the best parts a wedding can have. The person you love and the family who surround you. Melanie and Kendall made a pretty little backyard dinner setting and ceremony space, and spent all their energy on the things that mattered to them most. The ceremony was short and sweet and full of happy tears. We finished up with family pictures after the ceremony and headed out front to get a few quick just married shots. They even brought a basketball, since that was key to their meeting and connecting. IT was all kinds of wonderful and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these two.
Jessica and Joshua’s Rancho Santa Fe Elopement
Yesterday was warm, clear, bright and so so sweet. Jessica and Josh’s families came together to celebrate these two and it was so beautiful. The home they rented in Rancho Santa Fe was full of beautiful Spanish style and their decor was so lovely. We voomed through the day and I made sure to get every moment captured. I especially loved all the sweet moments with Jessica’s sisters and new niece. I am all about the cuddles!
Elizabeth and Jordan’s La Jolla Engagement Session
his morning’s session with Jordan and Elizabeth was so fun! I loved getting to take these two visitors around to some of my favorite spots in La Jolla and we had a blast chatting and running around and celebrating their engagement. These two came into town a few days ago, and got engaged at Sunset Cliffs and I was so excited to be the one to capture their engagement pictures. There was so much love and excitement during this session it is hard not to see that in the images. They held hands the whole time, making sure that they both were safe climbing all over the rocks I asked them to climb, even in high heels.
Emily and Ronaldo’s San Marcos Elopement
Yesterday’s morning Elopement with Ronaldo and Emily was so sweet, it was the perfect start to the weekend. We began the day with romantic portraits, in San Marcos’s rolling hills and big moody skies as our back drop. And these two brought the romance and excitement. And they were down for a little adventure, tromping through rough terrain and grasses that love to stick to lace dressed in their wedding best. After our beautiful portraits we headed to the San Marcos Courthouse to meet family and to start the ceremony. Emily’s little niece was the cutest, and did some super cute twirls for the camera.
Kendall and Melanie’s Surprise Proposal in Oceanside
Yesterday’s surprise elopement was so sweet and lovely. I got to be sneaky and hang out on a bench by the beach waiting for for Kendall and Melanie to arrive, and once they did the magic started. To be a fly on the wall for anyone’s proposal story is magical, but this one was particularly sweet. I never can tell what’s being said during the proposal but the reactions to the words of love and commitment is always excitement, joy and happiness! And even without hearing the words I tear up.
