Jack and Laura had a perfect end to their summer. Jack planned an amazing dinner out in Cardiff by the Sea and a romantic walk on the beach, which turned into the biggest surprise for Laura. He got down on one knee and she said YES!!! So many happy tears and big smiles. And the sunset in Cardiff showed off as their back drop, the perfect end to a perfect day.

Yesterday was Conny and Peter’s wedding day, and it was stunning! When I say I had a hard time narrowing down sneak peaks you can believe me, there are still over 40 here! This amazing couple, along with all their friends and family, came into Encinitas to celebrate their big day. And the San Diego Botanic Gardens was the most luscious verdant backdrop for their day. Did everything go to plan? No, just like every wedding day. But these two shinned through the grey skies and unexpected short sprinkles and danced the night away surrounded by love. They rolled with everything and were such a joy to be with and photograph. You can see the how truly happy and joyful they are in every image!

Melissa and Mandy’s wedding yesterday was a lively family affair, with 130 of their guests actually being family! In fact their big day happened in a family home, with Melissa cousin being kind enough to open the doors to all their guests. These sweet loves brought their family all together with their friends, and celebrated their union in a big, shiny, bright and beautiful day. Every moment of their day was entirely focused on their love and the love the have for the ones around them, their kids, their families and their friends. It was truly a joy to witness and document their day, and I know their life moving forward together will be beautiful.

Saturdays wedding in Bird Rock was a dream! Stephanie and Andres got married on the cliffs at Bird Rock, in a family home, which was a one of a kind beauty. Stephanie and Andres said over and over how thankful they were to be able to do their wedding at Stephanie’s Dad’s home, it made it all so much more personal and intimate. And truly everyone felt so welcomed and comfortable.

Yesterdays maternity session with Sam and Justin was so sweet! I love when past couples come back, keep my connected with them as they go through life’s new phases. Getting to walk through the dating, engagement, wedding, and baby stages with this couple has been such a blessing, and I love how you can track that journey through images. These two are so excited for their little one to arrive, they are absolutely glowing.

What a day we had yesterday! I started with the Beautiful Camille in her suite and to be honest it was truly one of the most fun getting ready days I’ve had with a bride. We talked about family, friends life, and what the future holds. We ate fries in memory of the brides mom (her favorite), drank champagne and Camille even jumped for joy on the bed! While I was having fun with Camille, our Groom Kevin started his day at his family home, surrounded by friends and family. While the party prep was underway down stairs Kevin got to surround himself with people he loves and who love him. When I got on site, we went straight to it!

Yesterday’s wedding was so amazing! I loved my amazing couple Jade and Jesse, and I especially loved getting to meet all their friends and family. We started the day at Kona Kai for getting ready and first look. Jade and her sweet bridesmaids and family all got ready together and the kiddos were so excited about their pretty outfits. Next we snuck away to do some first looks, first with Jade’s Dad, which was sweet and emotional. And then on to a first look with Jesse, which was so joyful! I love when I have to time to do a first look with my couples because it gives them a chance to breathe and just appreciate the day as it unfolds. It can be so overwhelming but these two just rolled with all and overflowed with joy.

I love when past couples come back to me with big events in their lives, and when Emily and Michael reached out about maternity photos I was so pumped! This couple is sincerely one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met and I feel so blessed to be in their lives. I know that as thrilled as they were to get married, they are over the moon about this little one on the way. Emily, you truly are glowing and looked so beautiful!

Yesterday’s wedding for Will and Nicole in La Jolla was stunning! It was my first time at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club and I am in love with this historic place (They’ve been a club for 85 years!). The venue is amazing, right on the water and full of beautiful features. And this couple and their friends and family were all so lovely, warm and welcoming. We started of the day with the beautiful bride and all her amazing bridesmaids and got ready for Will and Nicole’s first look. When we met up with Will there was so much anticipation and emotion I felt myself welling up with tears at the love and joy shared.

This weekend we finally got to celebrate Jenn and Eric’s wedding with their families and it was so much fun! We all gathered on Saturday evening at Snow King Resort, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate and it was a stormy day, their friends and family danced the night away with joy. When these two got married back in 2020, at the time we weren’t sure when or if they would ever be able to have this gathering.

Yesterday’s Elopement was so beautiful! Jenny and Brandon’s closest friends and family came together to celebrate these two and their love. Their big day had a few bumps in the road, like lots of weddings this year and last year. Covid reared it’s ugly head, their original venue spot cancelled on them, and they (with the support of their friends and family) just rolled with the punches and made a beautiful day happen. We started the day at their beautiful home where they had set up a backyard wonderland for their reception later in the evening. Jenny then got ready and we all headed down to the beach in Carlsbad to have their beautiful intimate vows with the waves lapping at their feet.

I am so so excited to share these beauties with you! This weekend I got to spend time with Will and Nicole at Felicita Park and it was absolute perfection. The dappled sunlight coming through the oak trees and all the new green were the perfect back drop for these two lovebirds. Even the creek that runs through the park was actually flowing and these to didn’t even hesitate when I asked to climb across a very narrow wall to get to the other side. I think my favorite part of engagement sessions is just that this is time that we all get to know each other and I get to learn about them.

I had the best night capturing these two love birds at Addison, the stunning and romantic restaurant at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. Vikas and Krista enjoyed a delicious meal, while I snuck out to the balcony to wait for the big moment. The night was clear with a big full moon shining down. Vikas walked out to the patio, sat his love down and proposed. It was sweet and romantic, and most of all, all about the two of them. Congrats you guys! I am so so excited for you and for you to start this next phase in your love story!

I spent the afternoon yesterday with Monique and her fiance Nick exploring their home in Murrieta. We had the best time getting to know each other and finding new spots around town. We wandered through parks, random open fields and the cutest little downtown ever in Murrieta. I love their love! They were so sweet and kind and just ready for whatever adventure the day brought. The rains this December are just starting to turn the hills are gorgeous green and it was the perfect backdrop for these two to frolic through.

Beth and Scott’s Wedding yesterday in La Jolla was a stunner. The sun was shinning and we had perfect 72 degree soft breezes blowing. I started the day with Beth and all the girls getting ready and loved how calm and fun the vibe in the room was. While I played with details, I got meet and get to know Beth’s daughters and family. I loved all the sweet thoughtful moments that unfolded during that time. And Beth looked amazing in her beautiful lace gown, a true stunner!

This week’s engagement session with Conny and Peter was so much fun! I love getting to take a break for a few weeks from shooting after a busy season, then coming back and getting to be creative with some amazing people. We meet early at Leo Carillo Ranch and had the best time chatting and getting to know each other. I love the way these two support and love each other and you can see that in every image. I can’t wait for what this next year holds for them! Congrats you guys!

Tommy and Briana had a beautiful wedding day in Sunny Oceanside. They day started off a bit gloomy but it burned off and provided the perfect back drop for their wedding. Surrounded by their friends and family, and their church community, these two proclaimed their love. I loved that they incorporated Kai’s background into the decor and style of the day! And I am obsessed with all of the gorgeous deep red they tied into all the decor.

Sunday’s elopement in Julian with Jaime and Aly was so beautiful! The sun was high, with not a cloud in the sky and just a gentle breeze keeping us all cool.The focus of the day for these two was joy and celebrating that happiness with their closest friends and family. We spent the morning getting ready, taking rad pictures and having fun! We took a break from family to go take some stunning portraits at the Santa Ysabel preserve, were they claimed over rock, walked through the fields, and toasted to their marriage. Their family and friends all pitched in back at the house to make the day a beautiful celebration of their love. Thank you both for trusting me with your celebration. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you! :)

Yesterday’s surprise proposal was full of golden light and joy! Will and Nicole climbed up to the top of the cliff, right above dog beach and I quietly hung back and watched their proposal unfold. Will was nervous enough that Nicole could tell something was up and was rubbing his back, but the surprise of the proposal had them both in happy tears. I love the joy that proposals bring and me getting to jump in once it’s all done and get their radiant joy, is amazing! And the big bonus of the evening, the cherry on top if you will, was the sky! It put on a stunning performance, as the backdrop of these sweet people’s love.

Yesterdays maternity session with Kai and Stacey was so sweet. I love when past clients come back with big life events, especially the addition of a new member of their family. When Kai texted me asking if I could do a maternity session for him and Stacey, I couldn’t believe it. It felt like yesterday that I shot their wedding in Temecula. But Stacey is just coming into her 8th month of pregnancy and these two are so excited to meet their little one.
